A documentary that shows how we can advance humanity by unlocking the secrets of the mind. 　　When Tianqiao and Chrissy first announced that they were focusing their philanthropic efforts on brain science, they were flooded with questions about their choice. They decided to create a short video to address these questions and quickly realized that they had enough exciting content for at least one documentary. They decided to create something that would excite the public about recent advances and show just how close we are to a number of significant breakthroughs. They also wanted to create something could be used by scientists and researcher to make the case that more support is needed from government, philanthropists, businesses and the public if we are to unlock the secrets of the human brain.

九歲就進芭蕾學校的歐姍娜，一心想成為芭蕾女伶，同時報答媽媽苦心栽培她跳舞，遠離貧窮的夢想。為了跳出曼妙的舞姿，多年來永無止境的練習、嚴格的體重控制，以及犧牲與同年齡的孩子應有的自由，是芭蕾少女必經的犧牲之路。伴隨著許多挫敗、淚水、孤單，唯有不停自我激勵、要求，才能持續下去…。

Boatman is Gianfranco Rosi's account of a boattrip along the Ganges river, together with his helmsman Gopal. They pass tourists and Indians who are bathing, working or meditating. In a series of small portraits Rosi depicts life on and at the banks of India's sacred river. Central theme of this film is the imagination of the endless circle of life and death, which is rooted in the lives of the Indian people, and which is convincingly manifested in the way they bid the dead farewell.

This documentary shows Arvo Pärt at home with his family and working in his study. He is interviewed/provides voiceover in Estonian/Russian with subtitled English translations. Concert rehearsals (The Hilliard Ensemble/ Western Wind Choir/Paul Hillier) (unknown Finnish choir & orchestra/Eri Klas) and a studio session (Arvo Pärt: Yamaha DX7 keyboard, Jan Garbarek: tenor saxophone & Manfred Eicher: engineer) for the unreleased recording of what is reputedly Aetos are shown. Also a few minutes of the Kremer/Grindenko/Schnittke /Sondeckis Tabula Rasa performance is shown which would lead one to think that there is a complete video recording of that as well as the WDR Radio recording used for the ECM release. The tone of the documentary alternates from serious interviews/work to humorous scenes of Pärt clowning around and German "man on the street" interviews with people being asked "Who is Arvo Pärt?". Overall, a fascinating view into Pärt's work and lifestyle. 　　(Alan Teder)
